IMPORTANT FAQ
Q: Can I setup my custom sending domain with my personal email such as sophiekessner@gmail.com sophie@outlook.com or sophie@yahoo.com
A: NO. You are NOT able to setup a custom sending domain using any of these options, it MUST be a domain name that you have purchased such as sophiekessner.com, loansigningsystem.com, yourfavoritenotary.com in order to use this feature.
If you do not currently have a custom domain that you've purchased, you can search for a domain and purchase your own domain using any domain hosting platform.
We recommend using siteground.com for all domain hosting and DNS record management: https://www.siteground.com/
Q: Do I need a website to have a custom sending domain?
A: NO. You do NOT need to have a website setup to use the custom email sending domain feature. You only need to have the domain name that you have purchased.
Q: What if I have my website setup on Wix?
A: If you are currently using Wix.com for hosting your website and domain, you will NOT be able to use this feature. In order to setup a custom sending domain, you will need to use an alternative domain hosting platform such as siteground.com, godaddy.com, cloudflare.com etc.
Please contact Wix support for further assistance.
Q: What I use google workspace or Microsoft outlook business email?
A: You can still setup a custom sending domain even if you are currently using google workspace or Microsoft outlook business email SO LONG AS you have purchased your own custom domain as previously stated in this guide.
IMPORTANT: It is CRUCIAL that you follow these steps VERY CAREFULLY and do NOT use your ROOT DOMAIN as the domain for your setup. If your domain name is sophiekessner.com you MUST use a SUBDOMAIN in order for this process to work.
A SUBDOMAIN would be anything that has a prefix before your main domain name, below are examples of different subdomains:
test.sophiekessner.com
lc.sophiekessner.com
mg.sophiekessner.com
go.sophiekessner.com
Each of these are considered subdomains with the prefix highlighted in red
WARNING: If you do NOT use a subdomain, you will break any existing setup you may currently have including breaking your website, gmail, outlook or other services. it's absolutely crucial that you setup a UNIQUE sending domain for the email sending services.
Please contact your domain host for support.
